Health tip of the day: Write down what you eat, when and where you eat it, and what your mood is at the time. Do this for a couple days, and then take a look back at it. You will see what you like to eat in different moods, and maybe you have a habit of eating specific sweets at certain times of the day. Seeing all the junk you put in your body on paper will make you open your eyes a little more. It makes you come to the realization that you need to change your eating habits. Its similar to writing your goals down on paper and putting it up on the wall. Something about putting it on paper makes the idea stick in your head and motivates you to work harder at it.

Wrap a thon? What is it? I have many mixed fillings about products like this. For one thing when I read their ad I got the impression that it was just a physical wrap, with the elastic at the end to hold down all your fat. Then as I read on it’s talking about aromatherapy oils, plant extracts, and botanicals. So you wipe oils on your body and woola you shrink? Good magic trick! The only thing this product is going to do is nourish your skin. I use natural oils for my hair and my scalp, love em! But would I ever put that across my stomach and expect to lose 30pounds in 45 minutes as their ad says? Not for a moment. Saying that to say this; research products before you use them! Research the ingredients their using and see what the main purpose of those ingredients are. For your sake. Well that’s enough rambling for today. Have a good day! Allegedly one of Bin Laden’s wives used this recipe. It consist of oats,
huckleberries, and walnuts. A wet mixture of milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla is drizzled over the dry ingredients before baking to a golden-topped, fruit-scented finish. Be sure to use rolled oats and not instant oats.
Just a glimpse of one of my days of working out. Some ppl question a Personal Trainers own work ethic when it comes to training theirself, well here's some of mine! Enjoy! Bootcamp coming to Upper Marlboro, Maryland,Virginia, D.C. area soon, still in developmental stages. Look out for that!
I'm constantly seeing ads, and infomercials telling you to try their new product, or transform your body in 2 weeks. People get fooled every day. What most don’t realize is that the person that’s pictured on the product never used that product. Its usually somebody that is consistently in the gym over periods of time. Then they get a call to model for certain products. The only safe way to lose fat and keep it off is a healthy diet and exercising. These overnight gimmicks don’t work! But they do sell because they know there are people out their desperate enough to fall for anything, mainly because their uneducated on the matter. So that’s why I'm here. I came across this ladies video, and at first had the normal boxed in thinking person response! "what the hell, Im not doing that!" But as you get older, and wiser and really start opening your mind to new things, you realize you kind of used to live in a box. Im different and like to think outside of he box. So in saying that, I've personally tried this. I ran barefoot first on the treadmill, to break myself in and see what happens. Well as soon as I got off of the treadmill my calfs were burning and some secondary muscles around that werent getting use before when I ran with shoes. I forgot to mention, yes I do run on a regular basis. so I could tell the difference in this run. My calfs were sore for about three days(the good workout soreness, not painful!) so I encourage you to try it out too. The first video I watched of the lady is here http://youtu.be/nDJ3CMv-5M0. So Im done yapping your ears off, have a good day!
I hear this question all the time. First I'm going to start by saying their is no wrong or right answer. Whether you workout in the morning or evening, they’re both better choices than not working out at all! So congrat yourself for working out period! Most the time you don’t have a say so in the matter (with work, school, kids, wife, or husband), it just revolves around when you have time for it. There have been studies that suggest waking up early in the morning and getting your workout in, and then starting your day is the best, because it will energize you throughout the day. There was also a study that suggests that working out before you go to bed interferes with your sleep. Wrong! Here is the problem, although human, everybody is a little different, and your body acts accordingly. You can go back in forth with all the studies. Truth be told most of these studies that pop up with all these allegations, are just little labs in a college. They do a one-sided test without looking at other avenues then draw their conclusion. Personally I like doing a little bit throughout the whole day then do my main workout at night a couple hours before I go to bed, then I sleep like a baby! No interference with my sleep I think this is especially better the older you get, as your body typically gets tired easier. As far as working out throughout the day, I just do little things, to get the blood flowing and elevate my heart rate which causes the body to burn calories. For example if I’m at work (my first job, where I’m usually at a desk), I might pop out 30 pushups here and there. Calf raises is a good one, because you can do it while you’re in your seat or standing up. You can work your abs a little bit while you’re sitting in the chair. My conclusion is to test your own body. When you learn to listen to your own body all the studies in the world is no match for that.

How much do we need? The current recommended daily intake is 200 iu for those aged 19 to 50, 400 iu for those aged 51 to 69 and 600 iu for those older than 70. As always it is important to talk to your doctor about how much he or she recommends for you and your children, because we are all different. |
